Principal Investigator, Dr. Stephanie Irlbacher-Fox, is responsible for the overall intellectual and administrative direction of the project, including research and knowledge translation and mobilization initiatives to support a cross-cutting understanding of modern treaty implementation. Ongoing/Recent Activities

The Project Lead has undertaken and directed research and knowledge translation and mobilization initiatives to support a cross-cutting understanding of modern treaty implementation. These include:

• Updates to Land Claims Agreement Coalition (LCAC) Leadership (ongoing).

  • Regular project updates are provided to the LCAC to share with their members as they require.

• Research Bytes: Interview series on modern treat implementation
• Edited Volume: Best Practices Implementing Modern Treaties in Canada National Research Project (2021-present). Current work in process is focused on best practices from the perspectives of the following Indigenous governments:
